Ironic : Bussiness Ethics
For an oustanding company,bussiness ethics plays a major roles to guide at least the behaviour of staff when conducting bussiness.
It is sometime a tool to gauge how do the staff perform in their best manner.
Do not personally engage with the supplier or vendor to avoid unnecessary personal interest or conflict. No no ... Never try to be in the same table with the contractor during meal time. Never try to hang out with the contractor. Or else you will be caught betraying the code of conduct.
The guidelines is undeniably benefial, but the question is how realistic it can be?

Penuaan
Lelaki biasanya sukar untuk ingat tarikh-tarikh penting yang berulang setiap tahun. Come to worse, he can be forgot about his own birthday. And yes, it's happened to me almost every year.
Kalau tiada orang yang wish atau sms mengucapkan selamat hari lahir, alamatnya memang lupa terus. Dulu masa guna phone number Maxis, nasib baik la Maxis ada free call pada hari jadi anda. Maka aku akan sedar bila dapat sms Maxis cakap "yeay, today is your birthday. You received free call to any Maxis number. Talk whenever you want, whoever you want ...." (ok, aku exaggerated...) ... mula la aku call semua nombor Maxis yang wujud dalam telefon Nokia 3310 itu.
Selepas berpuluh tahun kita hidup, apa sebenarnya yang kita telah capai? Pada level mana kita berdiri bila dibandingkan dengan garis rujukan. Banyak orang akan membandingkan tahap berdasarkan tahap purata insan separas mereka. Ok, tak faham kan?
Sebagai contoh, katakan kita sudah mencecah umur 28, kita akan selalu tengok orang lain pada umur yang lebih kurang sama dan membandingkan tahap di mana kita berdiri. Berapa gaji? Anak berapa?Rumah besar mana?Pakai kereta apa?
And yes, I used to be like that, when I was 12. But at an older age, I started to realize that we are not in the same boat. We might be travel in the same direction, but different boat. Our ride could be an exclusive cruise or a plain sampan depending on who provided the ride. And even if we move with the same type of ride, who are the one controlling the wave? By the end of the day, whoever reach the destination will forget who did provide the sampan, and who did arrange for the wave.
Never stop to look back and remember your journey. It is the best mirror beyond your present, to be thankful and appreciate every detail of this life. You may say "It could've been better if i did it this way." ... but don't forget to say "It could've been worsen if it happened other way".
